Tanks Dismantling, Accrington

Hardcore Crushing were tasked with the specialist dismantling of external industrial storage tanks at Caligen Foam in Accrington — a local manufacturer with a well-known presence in the town.

Specialist Plant Required

Industrial tank dismantling is not standard demolition. It requires an understanding of the contents and history of the tanks, safe decommissioning prior to any dismantling works, and specialist plant and attachments to handle large steel structures safely and efficiently.

We used our 30-tonne excavator with the Lehnoff attachment — the right combination of reach, power and precision for this type of work. The Lehnoff system allowed rapid switching between our specialist attachments as the works progressed, maximising efficiency on site.
