Office Strip Out, Skipton

The Hardcore Crushing team recently completed a soft strip-out for a client on a large commercial property in Skipton — making way for 30 new residential apartments by stripping the building back to shell.

The Brief

The client required the existing commercial building to be stripped back completely in preparation for a residential conversion. Soft strip works are a critical first phase of any conversion project — every item of fitted fabric, fixture, fitting, service, and internal partition needs to be carefully removed and disposed of before structural works can begin.

The Works

Our team carried out the full internal soft-strip, including:

• Removal of all suspended ceilings and ceiling tiles
• Strip-out of all internal partitions and office fittings
• Removal of mechanical and electrical services, trunking and ducting
• Strip-out of all floor coverings
• Removal of all sanitary ware, kitchen and welfare facilities
• Waste segregation and removal via licensed disposal routes

On completion the building was handed back as a clear shell — ready for the structural conversion works to begin. All waste was removed and disposed of correctly, with recyclable materials diverted from landfill wherever possible.
